Morgan Bunting (1863-1929) was a member of the Society of Friends in Darby, Pa., and a descendant of Samuel Bunting, Sr., (1692-1759) who emigrated from England in the early eighteenth century. Darby Monthly Meeting was established in 1684 by Chester [Concord] Quarterly Meeting out of Chester Monthly Meeting. In 1827, after the Hicksite Separation in Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, the meeting split into Hicksite and Orthodox branches. Darby Monthly Meeting (Orthodox) removed to Lansdowne in 1831.
